Frequently Asked Questions
What do we actually gain by buying the 330-8985 two at a time?
Two things: a lower per-cartridge price and a spare already on the shelf. This 2-pack of the Dell 3333 cartridge (330-8985) costs $197.18, which works out to $98.59 per cartridge instead of $107.84 bought singly — a saving of $18.50 across the pair. The second cartridge also means the machine is never waiting on a delivery when the first one runs out.
How many pages does the pair cover in total?
Up to 28,000 pages — two cartridges rated at 14,000 pages each. Bought this way, the per-page cost drops from about 0.77 cents to about 0.70 cents. For a 3333 printing around 3,000 pages a month, the pair is roughly nine months of supply.
How should the second cartridge be stored until it is needed?
Keep it sealed in its packaging, flat, in a cool dry cupboard away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Stored that way, a toner cartridge waits patiently — there is no benefit to opening it early, and the packaging is what protects it from light and knocks in the storeroom.
Is the second cartridge in the box any different from the first?
No. Both are the same compatible 330-8985 black cartridge with the same 14,000-page rating. The only difference between buying this pack and buying two singles is the price per cartridge and the convenience of having the spare on site.
Who is a 2-pack the wrong choice for?
Anyone whose 3333 prints very little. If a single 14,000-page cartridge would last the machine well over a year, the pair ties up $197.18 in a cupboard for a long time, and a single at $107.84 may be the more sensible buy. The pack rewards steady, predictable volume.
What cover applies to cartridges from this pack?
Each cartridge is backed by a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns, and support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Full terms are on our shipping & returns page.
