    Frequently Asked Questions

Copies of our colour documents come out faded in the blues, though the originals look fine — why?

Because copying spends the same toner as printing. When your MF751CDW scans a colour original, it rebuilds the page from its four cartridges, and cyan does the blues and greens. A Canon 069 cyan cartridge (5093C001) that is running down will keep printing passable text while quietly failing at copies — the scan is fine, the cartridge laying down the blue is not. If black copies are sharp and colour copies lose their blues first, the cyan cartridge is the place to look.

Does this cartridge serve both the printer and the copier side of the MF751CDW?

It is the same cartridge for both jobs — the MF751CDW has one set of toner cartridges, and printing, copying and received faxes in colour all draw from it. That is worth knowing when you judge value: the up-to-1,900-page rating covers everything the machine produces in cyan, not just pages sent from a computer. An office that copies a lot of colour paperwork will use this cartridge faster than one that only prints.

What is the cost per page?

$52.83 across up to 1,900 pages comes to roughly 2.78¢ per page for cyan. On a multifunction machine doing mixed work — some colour copies, some plain printing — the real figure moves with your mix, but the cartridge price does not change. And because the MF751CDW takes one cartridge per colour, you replace cyan alone when cyan is done; the black (5094C001), magenta (5092C001) and yellow (5091C001) cartridges stay in until their own turn.

Is this the correct cartridge for the MF751CDW?

Yes — the MF751CDW uses the Canon 069 family, and this is the cyan member of it, part number 5093C001. Match it against the label of the cartridge coming out if you want a second confirmation. Offices that run the machine hard can also fit the high-yield 069H cyan (5097C001) in the same slot; for ordinary office volume this standard Canon 069 cyan is the right-sized cartridge.

Our blues fail on copies but the printer has not warned us yet — can a cartridge fade before the warning?

It can. Toner-level warnings are estimates based on coverage counting, and a cartridge can be laying down weak cyan on heavy-coverage areas — a big blue heading, a copied photo — while the counter still thinks there is toner to spare. Faded blues on copies are a more honest gauge than the gauge. If the symptom matches, change the cartridge; if the old one turns out to have life left, it keeps fine in its box as a spare.

    What cover comes with it?

A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, the same as every cartridge on our shelves. The full terms sit on our shipping and returns page. We dispatch from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA so most offices are a few days from a cartridge, not a week, and support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This Canon MF751CDW Cyan Toner Cartridge

This compatible Canon 069 cyan cartridge (5093C001) feeds both sides of your imageCLASS MF751CDW — the prints you send and the colour copies you make — for up to 1,900 pages at $52.83, around 2.78¢ a page. It is the cartridge that keeps copied skies blue and printed greens green, and it changes in about a minute. The rest of the family is on our Canon toner page.
