Frequently Asked Questions

Our MF751Cdw mostly copies and scans — does a toner set still matter this much?

Scanning uses no toner at all, but every color copy does, and copying is where a multifunction quietly eats color: a full-page color copy draws on cyan, magenta and yellow together, the same as printing the page. Offices often find the MF751Cdw's color cartridges fade faster than expected because copying never shows up in anyone's print queue. A complete Canon 069 set — black 5094C001, cyan 5093C001, magenta 5092C001, yellow 5091C001 — keeps both printing and copying covered from one shelf stock.

One color ran out mid-copy-job. Should we have bought the set sooner?

That is exactly the moment the set is designed for. Color machines typically refuse color work when any one color is empty, so a single finished cartridge can stall the whole copier even with the other three part-full. With the set in the cupboard, the empty color is swapped in minutes and the job restarts. Buying after the stall works too — we ship from the nearest of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses — but the set bought ahead costs the same and removes the wait entirely.

Walk me through the numbers on this set.

Four cartridges for $155.85: the black 5094C001 rated at 2,100 pages and each color rated at 1,900 pages. The same four Canon 069 cartridges bought as singles total $211.32, so the set saves $55.47, landing at an average of $38.96 per cartridge. In page terms that is roughly 1.9 cents for black and about 2.1 cents for color at rated yields. If your MF751Cdw's volume is heavy and constant, run the same sum against the Canon 069H set — higher yields per cartridge, a $230.15 ticket, and a lower cost per page over the long run.

Be honest: if only the yellow is empty, is the set overkill?

Today, yes, a single yellow 5091C001 is the proportionate buy if the other cartridges are fresh, and we sell it separately for that reason. The set earns its place when the cartridges are mid-life: the three spares stay sealed, they do not expire sitting in a cupboard, and each subsequent warning becomes a quick swap instead of a fresh purchase decision. Think of the set as stocking the shelf, and the single as clearing a warning — both legitimate, at different moments.

Do all four cartridges have to go in together?

No. Each Canon 069 cartridge is individually sealed and installs in its own slot on the MF751Cdw — black, cyan, magenta and yellow positions are distinct and keyed. Many offices install the black immediately because it empties first, then feed the colors in as each warning appears. Nothing about the set requires a simultaneous change, and unused cartridges store flat and sealed for well over a year.

What happens if one cartridge in the set prints badly?

It is covered on its own. These compatible cartridges carry a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, applied per cartridge, so a streaky magenta goes back alone while the rest of the set stays in the printer. The process is spelled out on our shipping and returns page, and our support team — Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST — will walk you through a couple of quick checks first, since reseating a cartridge clears a surprising share of print-quality complaints.

About This Canon 069 4-Pack for the MF751Cdw

One of each Canon 069 cartridge for the imageCLASS MF751Cdw: black 5094C001 at 2,100 pages and cyan 5093C001, magenta 5092C001 and yellow 5091C001 at 1,900 pages apiece — sized for a multifunction that prints and copies in color. The $155.85 set price saves $55.47 against buying the four singly, and having all four on hand means an empty color never idles the copier. Should the machine's workload grow, it also runs the high-yield Canon 069H cartridges; see the full Canon toner range for both yields.

One cartridge covers the ImageClass MF753CDW, LBP-674CDW and ImageClass MF751CDW. Each cartridge also stands alone: the Canon 069 yellow cartridge, the Canon 069 black cartridge, the Canon 069 cyan cartridge and the Canon 069 magenta cartridge. Prefer the other yield class as a set? That is the four-color Canon 069H set.
