Frequently Asked Questions

Does a multifunction machine use cyan differently from a plain printer?

It asks more of it. On the MF751Cdw the same 5097C001 feeds everyday printing and colour copies, and copies of charts, maps and marked-up documents are cyan-hungry work. Offices that copy as much as they print usually find cyan is the first colour to go — which is exactly why the high-yield version suits this machine.

What is the honest cost comparison for the MF751Cdw?

The Canon 069H cyan is rated at 5,500 pages for $71.40 — about 1.30 cents per page. The standard 069 cyan (5093C001) costs $52.83 and covers 1,900 pages, near 2.78 cents each. The 5097C001 costs $18.57 more up front, yields roughly 2.9 times the pages, and halves the running cost. On a shared office machine, that difference shows up in the supply budget within a quarter or two.

Our copies look washed out but prints from the computer look fine. Same cartridge?

Same cartridge, different path — copies pass through the scanner first, so a dirty glass or a faded original can mimic toner trouble. Clean the glass and copy a bold test chart: if blues still come out green-leaning and pale while computer prints match, the 5097C001 is genuinely low. If computer prints drift the same way, skip the detective work and swap the cyan.

Can the MF751Cdw keep working while cyan is empty?

Black-only jobs can usually continue, but colour copies and colour prints will stop or come out wrong — a chart copied with no cyan is not a chart anyone can read. Keeping one 5097C001 on the shelf is the cheap insurance; it is a one-minute, one-slot swap when the moment comes.

What guarantee comes with this compatible cartridge?

A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns — the terms are spelled out on the shipping and returns page. This is a compatible Canon 069H cyan, not a Canon-boxed unit, and it is rated to the same 5,500-page yield as the specification it follows.

What else should I stock for this machine?

The other three 069H colours and black: magenta 5096C001, yellow 5095C001 and the black 5098C001 rated at 7,600 pages. Support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and orders ship from IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses.
