Is the high-yield 069H really worth it over the standard 069?

For most offices, yes. The standard 069 black cartridge is rated at about 2,100 pages; this 069H is rated at 7,600 pages — roughly 3.6 times the output from the same slot in your printer. That means far fewer cartridge swaps and a lower running cost: at $71.40, this cartridge works out to about 0.94¢ per page. If your printer only handles the occasional letter, the standard cartridge may be enough. If black documents are a daily staple, the high-yield version is the smarter buy.

How long will 7,600 pages actually last us?

It depends on your monthly volume. At 250 pages a month — a light home office — one cartridge can last around two and a half years. At 750 pages a month it covers roughly ten months, and a busy small office printing 1,500 pages a month will get about five months from it. Those estimates use the standard 5% page coverage behind yield ratings; dense pages with heavy black fill will use toner faster.

Our prints are starting to fade — is the cartridge empty or is something wrong?

Even fading across the whole page near the end of the cartridge's life usually means the toner is genuinely running low. Streaks, spots, or fading down one side only — especially with plenty of the 7,600-page rating left — are different: remove the cartridge, rock it gently side to side a few times to redistribute the toner, and print a test page. If the same defect stays in the same place, contact us rather than assuming the cartridge is finished.
