Frequently Asked Questions

Our greens have started printing blue. Is the yellow cartridge really the cause?

Very likely, yes. Green on paper is not a colour of its own — your LBP631C builds it by laying cyan and yellow toner together. While the yellow cartridge is healthy the two balance out, but as yellow fades the cyan takes over and the same green quietly slides towards blue. Lawns, leaves and green chart segments are usually the first places it shows.

What other colours give the game away before green does?

Warm colours suffer first. Oranges drift towards red, golds lose their glow, and anything that should be a soft warm yellow can nearly disappear against white paper. A quick test is to print something with a green, an orange and a yellow block side by side: if the orange looks red and the green looks blue while the yellow looks washed out, the Canon 067 yellow (5099C001) is the cartridge to change.

How many pages will this cartridge cover?

It is rated at 1,250 pages. At $64.27 that works out to roughly 5.14 cents a page, and we will be straight with you: that is not a bargain-basement page cost. What you are paying for is colour that stays true — greens that stay green — from a cartridge built for this printer, not the cheapest possible fill.

Is this the right yellow for our LBP631C?

Yes. This is the Canon 067 yellow cartridge, part number 5099C001, in compatible form for the Canon LBP631C. If the cartridge you are pulling out is labelled 5099C001, this is its replacement. The matching companions are the 067 black (5102C001), cyan (5101C001) and magenta (5100C001).

What if the colours still look wrong after we fit it?

Then you are covered twice over. This cartridge carries a 1-year warranty, and our returns run a full year as well — if a replacement yellow does not restore your greens, contact us and we will sort it out. Full terms are on our shipping and returns page.

How quickly can we get one?

Orders ship from whichever of our four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — is best placed for you, so most offices are only a short transit away. Questions before you order? Support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
