Frequently Asked Questions
Besides the toner itself, what does a 5-pack save?
Reorder cycles. Five GPR-42 cartridges mean one procurement instead of five — one delivery to receive, one invoice to process, four fewer occasions where someone has to notice the shelf is empty. The cash saving is real too: $339.37 against $413.30 for five singles is $73.93 saved, at $67.87 per cartridge.
What is the rated cost per page in this pack?
Five cartridges at 34,200 pages give 171,000 pages, and $339.37 across that volume is about 0.20 cents per page — the GPR-42's figure keeps stepping down from the single-cartridge 0.24 cents as the pack grows. For a family that starts higher per page than its neighbours, the pack ladder is where the cost is managed.
How much work is 171,000 pages, in practice?
At 10,000 pages a month it is about seventeen months of black output; at 20,000 a month, eight to nine months. Central-supply buyers for a single heavily used imageRUNNER typically think in exactly those horizons — which is who this pack size is built for.
Stores wants one clearly labelled shelf code — is this it?
Yes: GPR42BK, one code, five identical cartridges. The labelling discipline matters because the neighbouring families — GPR-43 and GPR-38 — serve different machines. Stock kept strictly by code removes any chance of the wrong family's cartridge being carried to the machine.
Are all five cartridges covered the same way?
Each one is a compatible cartridge with the same one-year warranty and one-year free returns as a single purchase; a fault in one unit is handled on that unit. Full details are on the shipping and returns page.
Where will a pack this size ship from?
From the best-placed of our four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California. Support can confirm timing before you order, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
