Frequently Asked Questions

Why does a pair make sense for a 15,100-page cartridge?

Because 15,100 pages sounds like a lot until a busy month eats it. This 2 pack of the Canon GPR-39 (GPR39BK) gives you 30,200 pages on site — one cartridge working, one in reserve. The day the machine reports low toner, the replacement is already in the cupboard and printing never waits on a delivery.

What does this pack save over two singles?

Two singles cost $119.44. The pack is $100.95, so each cartridge comes to $50.48 and you keep $18.49. Per page, the pair brings black toner down to roughly 0.33 cents from the single's 0.40 cents.

How long does 30,200 pages last a typical department?

At 250 pages a day, around four months. At 750 a day, roughly two months. Either way, the reorder conversation happens a handful of times a year, and always with a spare still in the machine.

Is the spare cartridge covered while it sits unopened?

Yes. The 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns apply to both cartridges in the pack — the details are on the shipping and returns page. Keep the spare sealed in a cool, dry place and it is protected the same as the one in use.

Should we step up to the 3 or 5 pack instead?

If your machine gets through a GPR39BK in under a month, yes — the 3 pack drops the price to $47.39 per cartridge and the 5 pack to $44.93. If a cartridge lasts you a quarter, the pair is the right size and keeps less cash sitting on the shelf.

Where does the pack ship from?

From the nearest of our IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses. Questions before or after ordering: support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
