Frequently Asked Questions

What changes when a department stocks three of these instead of one?

Ordering stops being an event. With 45,300 pages on the shelf, toner becomes something the supply closet simply has — the reorder conversation happens once a year or so instead of every few months, and a cartridge ending on a Friday no longer turns into a Monday problem. The per-cartridge price also falls to $47.39, against $59.72 bought singly.

How much does the 3 pack save, in total?

Three singles would cost $179.16; the pack is $142.17, a saving of $36.99. Spread across 45,300 pages, the toner cost lands at roughly 0.31 cents per page, down from about 0.40 cents on the single cartridge.

Can the three cartridges be shared across different machines?

Yes. The ImageRunner 1730, 1730iF, 1740, 1740iF, 1750 and 1750iF all use the Canon GPR-39, part number 2787B003AA. A floor running two or three of those models keeps one box and lets whichever machine runs dry take the next cartridge.

How should the pack be stored and rotated?

Sealed, flat, cool and dry — and in arrival order. Mark the delivery month on the outer box when it lands. At departmental volumes the pack may sit for the better part of a year; stored properly, the third cartridge prints like the first.

What if one cartridge in the pack is faulty?

It is covered individually: a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns on each cartridge, with no need to return its box-mates. The process is described on our shipping and returns page.

Who should stick with the single cartridge instead?

A site whose GPR-39 machine is a low-volume satellite, or one scheduled for replacement within the year. Three cartridges are 45,300 pages of commitment; if the meter says the machine will not print them, the single is the honest purchase.
