Frequently Asked Questions

Why keep a second cartridge on the shelf instead of ordering when the machine stops?

Because a shared imageRUNNER that runs dry does not just pause one job — it backs up a whole department's printing and copying. With this 2 pack, one Canon GPR-22 black cartridge (GPR22BK) goes in the machine and the second waits sealed in the supply cupboard, so a toner-out message becomes a two-minute swap instead of a stopped machine and a rushed emergency order.

What does the pair save against two single orders?

Two singles bought separately cost $75.40. This pack is $56.91 — a saving of $18.49, bringing each cartridge down to $28.46 and the running cost to roughly 0.34 cents per page instead of 0.45. It is the first step on the pack ladder, and it pays for the convenience of holding a spare rather than costing extra for it.

How much printing does the pack put within reach?

16,800 pages in total — 8,400 from each GPR22BK cartridge. For a workgroup printing around 2,000 pages a week, that is roughly two months of output covered by a single order, with the second half of it already on site from day one.

Does the spare cartridge suffer from sitting in storage?

Sealed toner cartridges keep well: toner is a dry powder, not a liquid ink, so there is nothing to dry out. Store the spare sealed, flat, and away from heat, and use the older cartridge first when its turn comes. That simple rotation keeps shelf stock in the same condition as the cartridge that went straight into the machine.

Are these genuine Canon GPR-22 cartridges?

No — they are compatible cartridges manufactured to the Canon GPR-22 (GPR22BK) specification and sold under our own brand. They fit and run as the original does and carry the same 8,400-page rating; the saving comes from the brand, not from a smaller fill.

What cover applies if one of the two cartridges is faulty?

Each cartridge is covered individually by a 1-year warranty, with free returns inside the first year. If the installed cartridge fails, the warranty route is set out on our shipping and returns page — and because the second cartridge is already on your shelf, the machine keeps working while it is sorted out.
