Frequently Asked Questions

Why is the cost per page the only honest way to compare this pack?

Because headline cartridge prices hide the yield. This 3 pack costs $69.85 for three Canon 118 cartridges rated at 3,400 pages each — 10,200 pages in total, which is about 0.68 cents per page. A cheaper-looking cartridge with half the yield would cost you more per printed page while feeling like a bargain. Every comparison in this family should run through that one number: single cartridge, roughly 1.05 cents per page; this 3 pack, 0.68 cents; the 5 pack, about 0.61 cents. Same cartridge, same 2662B001AA specification — the difference is purely how many you commit to at once.

What monthly volume does a 3 pack suit best?

Roughly 500 to 1,200 black pages a month. Below that, cartridges sit long enough that a 2 pack is the tidier buy; above it, the 5 pack's lower per-cartridge price ($20.82 against $23.28 here) starts paying for itself quickly. At 850 pages a month — a busy small office — this pack is about a year of toner in a single box, with a saving of $36.95 against three singles at $35.60 each.

Prints are coming out streaky mid-cartridge — what should we check?

Start with the cartridge, not the machine. Remove it, keep it level, and rock it gently side to side five or six times: toner compacts toward one end over thousands of pages, and redistributing it clears most streaking and one-sided fading. Reinstall and print a few pages. If a clean band or repeating mark stays in exactly the same place, the drum may be damaged; that is what the 1-year warranty is for, and the pack also carries 1-year free returns — details on the shipping and returns page. Support can walk you through the checks Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

Which machines does the pack serve?

Any imageCLASS model specified for the Canon 118 cartridge, part number 2662B001AA: MF8350 and MF8350CDN, MF8380 and MF8380CDW, MF8330 and MF8330CDN, MF8580CDW, and the LBP7200, LBP7200CDN, LBP7660 and LBP7660CDN printers. If your office runs two different models from that list, one pack feeds both — the cartridges are identical across the platform.

How long can the second and third cartridges wait?

Comfortably. Keep them sealed in their bags, flat, cool and dry, and date the boxes so the oldest goes in first. A sealed compatible cartridge does not degrade on office timescales; what ages toner stock is heat, humidity and a damaged seal. With a 3 pack, normal rotation means the last cartridge is installed within roughly a year of delivery — well inside sensible storage life.

Where will the order ship from?

Whichever of our four US warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — is nearest to you. Keeping stock in four regions means shorter ground routes and no international leg, which is how a three-cartridge restock stays a routine delivery instead of a tracked-parcel saga.
