Frequently Asked Questions

Let's do the arithmetic: is $110.04 for four cartridges actually a saving?

Split evenly, the set puts each cartridge at about $27.51 — black 2662B001AA, cyan 2661B001AA, magenta 2660B001AA and yellow 2659B001AA alike. Bought as four separate orders across the year, the same cartridges cost more in total and arrive with four lots of packaging, four delivery windows and four chances for the printer to sit idle mid-job. The set's saving is partly price and partly the interruptions that never happen.

Which machines in our office will this set feed?

The Canon 118 platform is a wide one: the imageCLASS MF8330, MF8350 and MF8380 multifunctions, the MF8580Cdw, and the LBP7200 and LBP7660 series single-function printers, including their i-SENSYS and SATERA-badged equivalents. If your supply cupboard already holds anything labeled 118 — or any of those four part numbers — this set speaks the same language.

The printer says one color is low but prints still look fine. Change it now or wait?

Wait, but be ready. The low-toner warning is an estimate, not a measurement, and pages often stay clean for a good while after it appears. The honest signal is the page itself: when color starts fading unevenly or a hue visibly shifts, that cartridge is at the end. Having the set already on site means "wait" never turns into "wait three days for a delivery."

Can one faulty cartridge in the set be returned on its own?

Yes. Every cartridge carries our 1-year warranty against defects and 1-year free returns if it doesn't perform, and coverage follows the individual cartridge, not the box it arrived in. Tell us which color is failing and that's the one we replace or refund. Details are on our shipping and returns page; support is staffed Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

How much printing does the set actually cover?

Per cartridge: up to 3,400 pages from the black and up to 2,900 pages from each color, rated at the standard 5% coverage. A page of dense color uses all four cartridges at once, so the set's real-world life is set by your mix — a document office and a marketing desk will get very different mileages from identical boxes, which is why we quote the ratings separately instead of adding them into one big misleading number.

Prints have started streaking — is that the toner or the printer?

Start with the cartridge; it's the cheaper suspect. Streaks in one color point at that color's cartridge; streaks in every color, including plain black text, suggest something mechanical. Take the suspect cartridge out, rock it gently side to side to redistribute the toner, and print a test page. If the streak moves or fades, the cartridge answered the question.
