Frequently Asked Questions

Five high-yield cartridges is serious stock — who is this pack actually for?

For the printer that never gets a quiet week. Five Canon 046H black cartridges (046HBK) total up to 31,500 pages. That suits a shared departmental machine, a small print room, a warehouse office turning out labels and paperwork all day, or a business that simply orders supplies once and wants the subject closed for a year or more. If a single cartridge lasts you half a year, this pack is more than you need — it is built for volume.

What is the per-cartridge price doing down at $20.49?

That is the deepest step on the 046H price ladder. One cartridge is $35.28; in this pack each of the five works out at $20.49, and the $102.45 total saves $73.95 against five singles at $176.40. Per page, the cost falls to roughly 0.33 cents — the cheapest black printing this cartridge family offers. Nothing about the cartridge changes; you are trading shelf space for the lowest unit price.

Is there any risk in holding four spares at once?

Very little, handled sensibly. Toner cartridges are sealed units of dry powder — they do not dry out on the shelf. Store the boxes somewhere cool, dry and out of direct sun, use them oldest first, and each spare will print its full rated life when its turn comes. The realistic risk is not spoilage; it is ordering five for a printer that gets replaced next month — so this pack makes most sense for a machine you plan to keep.

How does the 5-pack stack up against standard Canon 046 cartridges?

Decisively. The standard 046 black is also $35.28 a cartridge here, rated at 2,200 pages. Matching this pack's 31,500 pages with standard cartridges would take more than fourteen of them and cost over $500. Even against the 046H single, the pack wins on price per cartridge by a wide margin — the only honest reason to buy standard or singly is low volume.

Does buying five change anything about delivery?

Only that one delivery closes the subject for a long stretch. The pack ships as a single order from whichever of our warehouses is closest to you, and with four spares in reserve afterwards, your next toner order is a planned purchase months away rather than a reaction to a faded page. Fewer emergency orders also means fewer chances of paying rush prices elsewhere.

What cover applies across the five cartridges?

Each cartridge in the pack carries our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, individually. A faulty unit within the year is returnable at no cost while the rest keep printing, and a sealed pack ordered in error can go back free within the year. The full terms are on our shipping and returns page.
