Frequently Asked Questions

When does a color-only set make more sense than the full set?

When your black cartridge still has plenty of life but the colors are fading together — a common pattern, since color pages draw all three down while black keeps its own pace. This set replaces cyan, magenta, and yellow in one box for $64.65, saving $36.99 against the three color singles at $33.88 each.

What exactly is inside the box?

One TN436C, one TN436M, and one TN436Y — the complete color trio, each rated at 6,500 pages. There is no black cartridge in this set, which is precisely the point: you are not paying to replace a black cartridge that does not need replacing.

Which printers do these three cartridges fit?

They run in the HL-L8360CDW, HL-L8360CDWT, HL-L9310CDW, MFC-L8900CDW and MFC-L9570CDW. Each color installs in its own slot just like a single cartridge, and the same machines also take the TN433 colors (4,000 pages each) if you ever mix tiers.

Should the three colors be changed at the same time?

You can swap all three at once for a clean reset of your color balance, or install each one as its predecessor actually empties — the cartridges are independent. Most offices change the one the printer flags and keep the other two from the set as ready spares.

How long will 6,500 pages per color last?

That depends on how color-heavy your printing is. At the standard 5% coverage the set holds 19,500 pages of color capacity in total; an office printing color on a third of its pages will see the trio last far longer than a design or marketing desk would.

How is this set covered after purchase?

All three cartridges carry our 1-year warranty, and returns within the first year are free under the terms on our shipping and returns page. Orders ship from IL, PA, GA, and CA warehouses, and support is on hand Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST.
