Frequently Asked Questions
This listing says "Premium Quality" but costs exactly the same $235.50 as the standard GPR-23 set. What is actually different?
On every measurable point, nothing — and we would rather say that plainly than dress it up. This set carries the same four part numbers (0452B003AA black, 0453B003AA cyan, 0454B003AA magenta, 0455B003AA yellow), the same ratings of 26,000 pages for black and 14,000 pages per color, the same $235.50 price and the same warranty and returns backing as the standard set listing. "Premium Quality" is part of this listing's name, not a different specification, so judge the set on the numbers in front of you.
If the two listings are the same set, which one should our purchasing department order?
Whichever is in front of you. The cartridges, the price and the terms do not change between the two listings, so there is no wrong door here. Departments that order by part number can use the same four codes against either listing and receive the same GPR-23 set for their imageRUNNER C2550–C3480 machines.
How long does a set like this last on a production color machine?
Work it from the ratings. The colors are the pacing items at 14,000 pages each: a department putting 3,500 color pages a month through its machine is looking at roughly four months per color cycle, while the 26,000-page black stretches considerably further in the same period. Heavy mono work reverses the pressure onto the black slot. Either way, the color ratings set your reorder calendar.
Will a matched fresh set help the color consistency of client-facing work?
It removes the most common variable. When all four cartridges start from the same point, the color balance the machine produces is the balance its calibration expects — there is no aged cartridge quietly pulling one channel off. For proposals, proofs and anything a client judges you on, starting a run on a matched GPR-23 set is the simplest way to make the output predictable.
What if one color underperforms after we fit the set?
The set is covered cartridge by cartridge: a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns stand behind each of the four, and the details are on our shipping and returns page. A weak magenta does not void the cyan — you deal with the cartridge at fault and keep printing with the rest.
We run more than one machine on GPR-23. Does a spare set on the shelf make sense?
For a shared fleet it usually does. Fifteen models across the C2550, C2880, C3080, C3380 and C3480 lines take this same set, so one spare box covers every machine in the room instead of four separate emergency orders. Keep it sealed and dated, fit cartridges as slots call for them, and reorder when the spare goes into service.
