Frequently Asked Questions
Our color output has slowly drifted — could cartridges of different ages be the reason?
It is one of the first things to rule out. On the imageRUNNER C2550–C3480 family this set serves, each slot lays down its own color, so a fresh cyan working beside a tired magenta shifts every mixed tone on the page. Fitting this complete GPR-23 set — black 0452B003AA, cyan 0453B003AA, magenta 0454B003AA and yellow 0455B003AA — gives the machine a matched baseline again: if the drift disappears, it was cartridge age; if it does not, you have eliminated toner and the machine itself needs attention.
Only one slot is reporting low. Do the other three have to go in the same day?
No. The set is sold as one box, but each cartridge is installed when its own slot asks for it. Fit the one the machine is calling for and keep the remaining cartridges sealed on the shelf. Unopened, they wait without penalty, and staggered fitting is how most departments run a set like this in practice.
The black is rated 26,000 pages and the colors 14,000 each — what does that gap mean for our ordering rhythm?
It means the color slots cycle on a shorter clock than the black. In color-heavy production work the three colors will ask for attention well before the black does; in a text-heavy office the black does most of the work and the gap narrows. Either way, plan your next order around the colors' 14,000-page rhythm rather than the black's longer 26,000-page rating, and the machine will not catch you mid-run.
How does the $235.50 set price break down for our cost records?
Spread evenly, the four cartridges average $58.88 each — that is simply $235.50 divided across the box, and it is the cleanest way to book the set against a department cost center. The value sits in the ratings behind that price: 26,000 pages from the black slot and 14,000 pages from each color slot before the cycle starts again.
How should the unopened cartridges from the set be stored?
Sealed in their packaging, flat, in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. There is no benefit to opening a cartridge early, and a sensible habit is to mark the arrival date on the box so the oldest stock is always used first. Kept that way, the shelf cartridges are ready the moment a slot runs dry.
What happens if one cartridge in the set prints badly from the start?
Every cartridge in this set is a compatible cartridge backed the same way as everything we sell: a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, with the full terms on our shipping and returns page. One faulty cartridge does not strand the other three — the cover applies per cartridge, and our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST to talk it through.
