Frequently Asked Questions

This "Premium Quality" 5-pack costs the same $58.33 as the standard one. Should that bother me?

We would rather you noticed it than not. The Premium Quality 5-pack and our standard CRG-125 5-pack are both priced at $58.33, and we are not going to manufacture a difference to explain a label. What is verifiable: five Canon CRG-125 (3484B001AA) cartridges, each rated at up to 1,600 pages, at $11.67 per cartridge — against $132.30 for five singles, a saving of $73.97. Weigh the listing on those numbers and on the warranty, and the "Premium" wording can look after itself.

What running cost does this pack give me per page?

About 0.73 cents per page at the rated yield. Inside this family, the ladder runs from 1.65 cents per page on the single cartridge, through about 1.08 cents on the 2-pack and 0.88 cents on the 3-pack, down to this pack's 0.73 cents. There is no larger CRG-125 pack, so this is where the per-page cost stops falling.

How long will five cartridges last in a real office?

Up to 8,000 pages in total. A shared imageCLASS printer putting out roughly 700 pages a month takes close to a year over this stock; a busier desk at 1,200 pages a month, about six to seven months. If your machine prints a few hundred pages a month at most, be honest with yourself: the 2-pack or 3-pack will serve you just as well and keep less cash on the shelf.

How should the waiting cartridges be kept?

Sealed in their bags, lying flat, in a cool dry cupboard away from sunlight and radiators, used in the order they arrived. When the installed cartridge's output fades, rock it gently side to side to redistribute the toner before opening the next one — settled toner is the most common false alarm for an "empty" cartridge.

What happens if one cartridge in the pack is a dud?

Each cartridge carries its own 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. A unit that leaks, fails early, or prints poorly is replaced or refunded individually; the rest of the pack stays yours and stays covered. The full policy is on our shipping and returns page.

Where does my order ship from?

From one of our four US warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — chosen to serve your address. Support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if you would like a person to confirm that the CRG-125 (3484B001AA) is right for your printer before you order five of them.

About This Canon CRG-125 Premium Quality Black Toner 5-Pack

This listing is a 5-pack of compatible Canon CRG-125 black toner cartridges (part number 3484B001AA) under the Premium Quality name, each rated for up to 1,600 pages — up to 8,000 pages total — at $58.33, or $11.67 per cartridge and about 0.73 cents per page. That price is identical to our standard 5-pack, and the honest comparison is against five singles at $132.30: a saving of $73.97. It suits a steadily worked, shared imageCLASS printer.
