Frequently Asked Questions

Why does this box carry a second toner cartridge alongside the drum?

Because the drum change is the natural moment to reset the printer's whole consumable position. One TN630 goes into the machine with the new DR630 drum; the second cartridge waits on the shelf for the cycle after, so the next toner change — whenever it lands — is a two-minute job with no order to place and no delivery to wait for. For a small office that cannot afford a stopped printer mid-week, that spare is the point of the box.

What does the three-piece box save against the parts bought singly?

$26.66. The parts bought one at a time come to $265.90 — two TN630 cartridges at $68.41 each plus the DR630 drum at $129.08 — while this bundle is $239.24, and it sits $95.70 under its own $334.94 list price. Each cartridge in the box effectively costs several dollars less than it does on its own product page.

How much printing does the box represent, stated plainly?

The toner side holds 2,400 pages — two TN630 cartridges rated at 1,200 pages each. The DR630 drum is rated separately at 12,000 pages, and the two figures are never merged, because the drum is not toner: it is the imaging unit the cartridges work through. When both cartridges in this box are finished, the drum will still have the great majority of its rated life ahead of it — roughly eight more cartridges' worth.

Will the spare cartridge go stale sitting on a shelf?

Not on any timescale that matters here. A factory-sealed genuine cartridge, kept in its box in a cool, dry spot away from direct sunlight, stores perfectly well for the months a typical office takes to work through the first cartridge. The spare in this bundle is meant to be used one cycle later — that is a short, ordinary storage interval, not long-term hoarding.

Which printers does this bundle fit?

All sixteen models built on the TN630 and DR630 pairing: the DCP-L2520DW and DCP-L2540DW; the HL-L2300D, HL-L2305W, HL-L2315DW, HL-L2320D, HL-L2340DW, HL-L2360DW and HL-L2380DW; and the MFC-L2680W, MFC-L2685DW, MFC-L2700DW, MFC-L2705DW, MFC-L2707DW, MFC-L2720DW and MFC-L2740DW. If your machine takes a TN630 cartridge, this bundle's drum is the drum it takes as well.

How are returns and warranty handled on a bundle like this?

The whole box is genuine Brother stock, so it carries the OEM arrangement: returnable for 30 days from delivery whatever the reason, with warranty protection provided by Brother's manufacturer warranty for both the toner cartridges and the drum. The detail is set out on our shipping and returns page. Those are the complete terms for this bundle — the longer cover shown elsewhere on the site belongs to our compatible range.
