Built for the Brother DCP-7060D, this compatible cartridge is filled to the high-yield TN450 specification, rated at up to 2,600 pages. The D model's automatic two-sided printing stretches each cartridge further still, and it drops straight into your existing DR420 drum unit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does double-sided printing make a TN450 last longer?
Not in toner terms — and it is worth being precise here. The 2,600-page rating counts printed sides, not sheets. Print 2,600 sides single-sided and you use 2,600 sheets; print them duplex on your DCP-7060D and you use about 1,300 sheets. Duplex halves your paper bill, not your toner bill — the cartridge lays down the same toner per side either way, at about 1.04¢ per side from the $27.13 price.
So what does the D actually save me over a month?
Paper, storage and filing bulk. A 300-page monthly workload is 300 sheets single-sided but only 150 sheets duplexed, and a full TN450's worth of duplex output fits in a stack roughly half as thick. Combine that with this cartridge's 1.04¢-per-side toner cost and the DCP-7060D becomes a genuinely cheap machine to feed on both consumables.
Is the high-yield TN450 the right match for a duplex printer, or would the TN420 do?
Duplex models tend to belong to people who print documents, not odd pages — contracts, reports, handouts — and that volume is exactly where high yield wins. The TN420 (1,200 pages) fits the same machine and is a fair choice for very light use, but at this volume you would swap it more than twice as often and pay more per page. The TN450's 2,600 pages at $27.13 is the better arithmetic for a D user.
Which printers does this cartridge fit?
DCP-7060D, DCP-7065DN, HL-2130, HL-2132, HL-2220, HL-2230, HL-2240, HL-2240D, HL-2242D, HL-2250DN, HL-2270DW, HL-2275DW, HL-2280DW, Intellifax 2840, Intellifax 2940, MFC-7240, MFC-7360N, MFC-7365DN and MFC-7460DN
Does duplex printing change anything about the drum?
No. The DR420 drum counts pages the same way whether they arrive one side at a time or two, and it is rated around 12,000 pages — roughly four to five TN450 cartridges. Duplexing does not wear it any faster.
What if the cartridge disappoints me?
It is covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns — the full terms are on our shipping and returns page.
About This TN450 Cartridge for the DCP-7060D
Run the numbers on a duplex desk and two savings stack up: half the paper, and toner at about a cent a side. This compatible TN450 delivers up to 2,600 printed sides for $27.13, clicks into the DCP-7060D's existing drum unit with no setup, and keeps the machine's double-sided habit as cheap as it was designed to be. Part of the Brother compatible range at Clever Supplies.
