Frequently Asked Questions

Before term starts, how do we confirm this is the right set for our 6015NI?

Match numbers, not names. The cartridges for this machine are 106R01630 (black), 106R01627 (cyan), 106R01628 (magenta) and 106R01629 (yellow) — check them against the labels on the cartridges currently installed or the machine's own supplies information. Four matches mean the set is correct for your unit.

We print in bursts — hundreds of handouts one week, almost nothing the next. How do the ratings hold up?

Page ratings count pages, not days, so bursts simply spend the same budget faster. The black cartridge carries 2,000 pages of capacity and each color 1,000 at standard coverage; a heavy handout week might spend a visible slice of that, and a quiet month spends almost none. Nothing about bursty use harms the cartridges waiting in the machine or in the box.

Our worksheets are full of color diagrams. Which cartridges do those spend?

Diagram colors draw on the three color cartridges — cyan 106R01627, magenta 106R01628 and yellow 106R01629 blend to make the chart colors — while the text around them spends black. A term of diagram-heavy worksheets can therefore run a color down ahead of the black cartridge, the opposite of what a text-only classroom sees.

If one color empties mid-term, are we stuck replacing all four?

No. Each cartridge is its own unit in its own slot and can be changed on its own when the machine reports it empty. The point of buying the set is having all four on hand; how quickly you work through them, one by one, is up to the machine's actual appetite.

Does this set also fit the Phaser in the office next door?

Yes — the same four cartridges serve the Phaser 6000, the Phaser 6010N, the WorkCentre 6015 and the WorkCentre 6015V/B and WorkCentre 6015V/N. A school or training center running several of these Xerox units keeps one common spare set.

What warranty and returns apply?

The cartridges carry a 1-year warranty and a year of free returns; the full wording is on the shipping and returns page. We dispatch from the nearest of our Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California warehouses, with support reachable Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This WorkCentre 6015NI Toner Set

Classroom printing is feast or famine, and this set is sized for the feast: black 106R01630 rated at 2,000 pages for text-heavy handouts, with 106R01627 cyan, 106R01628 magenta and 106R01629 yellow at 1,000 pages each for the diagrams and charts. All four cartridges together are $68.36, each sealed until the moment it is needed, so a set bought in September is still fresh when the spring term's printing peak arrives.
