Frequently Asked Questions

What should I check before ordering for a 3655X?

The part number. This machine family runs on the 106R02740 extra-high-yield black cartridge, and that is the number molded on the unit in this listing — one compatible cartridge, rated up to 25,900 pages, at $48.00.

Why is there only one cartridge size for these machines?

Xerox specified a single extra-high-yield fill for the platform, so there is no standard-versus-high-yield decision to get wrong. Every 106R02740 you buy is the 25,900-page unit.

What is the running cost on this listing?

Roughly 0.19 cents per page at standard coverage — $48.00 spread across 25,900 pages. For a machine that prints contracts, invoices and reports all day, that rate keeps the monthly consumables line almost boring.

Which printers share this cartridge?

The listed models are the WorkCentre 3655 and the WorkCentre 3655i. Offices running the X variant alongside those models stock a single cartridge type for all of them.

First time trying a compatible in this machine?

A single is the sensible trial: one cartridge, $48.00, and a full rated life to judge it on. If it earns its place — as it should — the multipacks on this platform bring the unit price down toward $33.

What if it does not perform?

It is covered by a 1-year warranty, with free returns for a full year. Terms are on our shipping and returns page; talk to support Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
