Frequently Asked Questions

My WorkCentre 3655 is asking for toner — is this the cartridge it wants?

Yes. The 3655 takes the 106R02740 extra-high-yield black cartridge, and this listing is exactly that: one compatible cartridge rated at up to 25,900 pages, the size your machine's supply screen is calling for.

How long will one cartridge last in a 3655?

Divide your monthly volume into 25,900. At 1,000 pages a month it is roughly two years of printing; at 2,500 a month, about ten months; at 5,000 a month, just over five. Heavy graphics coverage shortens those spans, plain office text stretches them.

What am I paying per page at $48.00?

Around 0.19 cents per page across the cartridge's rated life — the reason a single extra-high-yield unit beats refilling a shared machine with smaller cartridges several times a year.

Does this same cartridge fit anything besides the 3655?

It also runs in the WorkCentre 3655i, the sibling model on the same platform. The WorkCentre 3655 page lists every supply we carry for your machine.

Is one cartridge enough, or should I pair it?

If a toner-out day would stall your office, pair this with a shelf spare. The 106R02740 5-pack for the WorkCentre 3655 brings each cartridge down to about $33.21; bought one at a time, this single keeps the outlay at $48.00.

What warranty and returns apply?

The cartridge carries a 1-year warranty and a full year of free returns if it underperforms. See our shipping and returns page for the terms, and reach support Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
