Frequently Asked Questions

What actually lands on my doorstep when I order this set?

Four sealed toner cartridges in one box: one black, one cyan, one magenta and one yellow, each in its own packaging. There is nothing else to buy alongside them — when the set arrives, you have a complete refill for every slot in the printer, ready to install one at a time as each color is needed.

Tax season buries me for four months and then the printer barely idles. Does a high yield set still make sense?

It is arguably the best fit for that pattern. The black cartridge is rated at 3,000 pages and each color at 2,500 pages at standard coverage, so a single set can absorb a filing-season surge of returns, engagement letters and client copies without a mid-season reorder. The cartridges you have not installed yet simply stay sealed in the box through the quiet months.

How do I make sure the numbers match the machine on my desk?

Compare the part numbers on the labels of the cartridges currently in your printer with these four: black 106R01597, cyan 106R01594, magenta 106R01595 and yellow 106R01596. A number-for-number match is the whole check — if your labels read the same, this set is the refill your printer takes.

My work is almost entirely black text. Which cartridge will I be replacing first?

Black, by a wide margin. Returns, worksheets and correspondence are text documents, so the black 106R01597 cartridge does nearly all the work while the three colors wait for the occasional chart or letterhead. When black runs out you replace black alone; the colors stay installed until their own levels drop.

A return is due Friday and the low-toner warning just appeared. How does ordering work?

Orders leave from whichever of our warehouses in IL, PA, GA or CA is nearest to you, and the delivery timeframes and carrier details are laid out on our shipping and returns page. Preparers who cannot afford downtime in season usually keep the next set on the shelf before the current one runs dry.

What protection comes with the cartridges if one misbehaves?

Every cartridge in the set carries a 1-year warranty together with 1-year free returns, so a faulty unit can go back for a replacement or refund. Our support team is on hand Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and the Xerox brand page carries the single cartridges for this family if you want to restock one color at a time later.
