For a 4620DTM, when does this five-pack pay for itself?
Immediately in unit price, gradually in cash. Each cartridge in the pack costs about $131.33 against $146.12 singly, so the pack saves $73.96 across its five units and drops the rated cost per page from about 0.49 cents to about 0.44. The payback question is really a storage question: the saving is realized only as the cartridges are used, so the pack pays best in an office whose 4620DTM — or a mix of platform machines — will genuinely print its way through 150,000 pages.
How long will the pack last?
At 3,000 pages a month, about 50 months. At 4,500 pages a month, roughly 33 months. At 6,000 pages a month shared across machines, around 25 months. A single lightly used 4620DTM would take far longer, and for that office the honest recommendation is a smaller pack size.
Are the five cartridges the same product?
The same: five compatible Xerox 106R01535 high-yield black cartridges, individually sealed, each rated at 30,000 pages at 5% coverage. No unit in the box differs from another, and none differs from the cartridge sold singly except in the price you paid for it.
Which printers can use this pack's cartridges?
The whole Phaser 4600 and 4620 platform — Phaser 4600, Phaser 4620 and Phaser 4622DN, with their letter-suffixed variants like the 4620DTM this listing is named for. One cartridge type for every machine is the platform's design, and bulk stock is how you take advantage of it.
How should the spares be kept?
Sealed in their packaging, flat, in a cool and dry place away from sunlight and radiators. Date each box on arrival and install oldest first. Toner cartridges keep well — they do not dry out as ink can — and with that minimal rotation the last cartridge out of this pack will be as ready as the first.
What if one cartridge from the pack fails?
It is covered on its own by our 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns; the failure of one unit does not entangle the other four. The terms are published on the shipping and returns page, and support is staffed Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
