Frequently Asked Questions

The title does not name a printer model — how do I know this set is the right one?

Go by the part numbers, because they are the real identity here. This box holds 106R01281 for black, 106R01278 for cyan, 106R01279 for magenta and 106R01280 for yellow. Pull any cartridge from your machine and compare the code on its label: if all four match, this is your set, whatever the listing title does or does not say.

Which printers take these four cartridges?

The 106R01281 family feeds the Phaser 6130 and its networked sibling the 6130N. Those two machines are the whole story for this code group — if your printer is a different Phaser, its cartridges carry different numbers and this set will not fit.

How much printing does one full set cover?

The black is the long runner at about 2,500 pages, while the cyan, magenta and yellow are each rated near 1,900 pages at 5% coverage. In practice that means a text-heavy office may still have color left when the second black goes in, whereas a graphics-heavy user will see the colors finish first.

Do I have to install all four cartridges the day the box arrives?

No. Each cartridge is sealed on its own, so the sensible routine is to swap only the slot the printer complains about and leave the rest boxed. Installing a fresh cartridge early gains nothing — the page counter starts when it goes in, not when it is bought.

Why buy the four together instead of ordering singles as they run out?

Because the colors on this platform tend to fade within a few weeks of each other, and four separate orders means four chances to be caught with an empty slot mid-job. One box on the shelf at $72.88 covers the whole machine, and the remaining singles stay easy to find later if one color starts draining faster than the others.

What happens if a cartridge arrives damaged or prints badly?

Every set carries a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. Orders leave from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and the shipping and returns page explains delivery times and the return process. If you want a person rather than a page, support answers Mon–Fri, 9 AM–5 PM CST.

About This 4 Color Set

A complete four-cartridge refill identified purely by its part numbers — 106R01281 black, 106R01278 cyan, 106R01279 magenta, 106R01280 yellow — priced at $72.88. Expect roughly 2,500 pages from the black and about 1,900 from each color. It suits anyone who orders by the code on the cartridge label rather than by the model name on the printer. The same cartridges sold individually live on our Xerox toner page.
