Frequently Asked Questions

Why do the low-toner warnings on my 6130 all show up within a few weeks of each other?

Cartridges installed on the same day live the same life. The four in this set — 106R01281 black, 106R01278 cyan, 106R01279 magenta, 106R01280 yellow — went in together, printed the same documents and aged side by side, so their warnings naturally cluster. That clustering is exactly why a full set, rather than a single cartridge, is the practical reorder.

Is a full four-cartridge refresh better than replacing one at a time?

For a machine whose set was installed together, yes: one visit to the printer, one round of test pages, and all four levels start even again. Piecemeal swaps are fine when a single color was replaced out of cycle, but a synchronized set keeps the machine predictable — you always know roughly where every slot stands.

What yield should I plan around for this set?

Budget on about 2,500 pages from the 106R01281 black and roughly 1,900 pages apiece from the 106R01278 cyan, 106R01279 magenta and 106R01280 yellow, all at the standard 5% coverage. Full-color brochures or dense charts pull the color figures down noticeably; plain office text usually lands close to them.

Will this set also work in the networked version of the printer?

Yes — the Phaser 6130 and the 6130N take identical toner. The N model adds networking hardware, not a different cartridge bay, so one set can serve either machine and a spare box can cover a mixed pair.

What is the total I am paying, and what does it include?

$72.88 for all four cartridges, each sealed individually so unused colors can wait in the box. Nothing in the set is a partial fill or a remanufactured shell dressed up as new — four complete cartridges, one per slot, ready to install in whichever order your levels demand.

What backing comes with the purchase?

A 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns stand behind the set. We dispatch from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA; delivery windows and return steps are spelled out on the shipping and returns page. Questions reach a real person Mon–Fri, 9 AM–5 PM CST.

About This 6130 4 Color Set

A synchronized refill for the Phaser 6130 at $72.88: the 106R01281 black rated around 2,500 pages plus 106R01278 cyan, 106R01279 magenta and 106R01280 yellow at about 1,900 pages each. It is aimed at the moment the whole machine comes due at once — swap the set, reset your mental clock, and print until the cluster of warnings returns. Individual colors and bigger stock-up packs are listed on our Xerox toner page.
