Frequently Asked Questions

What does "Premium Quality" mean here — and does it cost extra?

Let's be straight about the label: this Premium Quality five-pack costs $449.29, which is exactly the same price as the standard 106R01149 5 pack. The cartridges inside are the same compatible 106R01149 high-yield units with the same 12,000-page rating per cartridge. The words on the listing do not add a cent to the price, and we won't pretend they describe a different cartridge.

What's actually in the box?

Five compatible 106R01149 black cartridges, each rated at up to 12,000 pages — up to 60,000 pages of printing in total. They are the platform's standard high-yield unit for the Phaser 3500 series, sealed and ready to install in rotation as each machine calls for one.

Which printers do they fit?

The cartridges fit the Phaser 3500, Phaser 3500B and Phaser 3500DN. One part number spans the platform, so this one box can supply any mix of those machines without sorting cartridges by badge.

How does the per-cartridge math work out?

At $449.29 for five, each cartridge costs about $89.86 — against $104.65 bought singly, a saving of $73.96 across the pack. Per printed page the figure is roughly 0.75 cents over the rated life, identical to the standard five-pack because, as noted above, the price and the cartridge are identical too.

How long will five cartridges last my office?

Combined, up to 60,000 rated pages. An office printing 1,000 pages a month is looking at around five years of supply; at 2,500 a month, roughly two years; a very busy shared machine at 5,000 a month still gets about a year. Dense, coverage-heavy documents shorten those spans, as with any toner rating.

What if a cartridge from the pack fails?

Every unit carries a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns, set out on our shipping and returns page. The warranty applies per cartridge, so a problem with one box never puts the other four in question. Our support team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST.
