Frequently Asked Questions

Why is this five-pack sold under a part number instead of a printer name?

Because one cartridge feeds several printers. The 106R01149 is the high-yield black cartridge for the Phaser 3500 platform, and this listing bundles five of them for $449.29. Buying by part number is actually the safer habit: the number on your old cartridge's label either matches 106R01149 or it does not, regardless of which badge your machine wears.

What is the per-page cost at this quantity?

Five cartridges at $449.29 works out to about $89.86 each — $73.96 less than buying the same five one at a time at $104.65. Across the pack's rated 60,000 pages, printing runs at about 0.75 cents per page, the lowest per-page figure in this family.

Who actually goes through 60,000 pages?

More offices than you'd expect. A shared workgroup printer handling 2,000 pages a month finishes this pack in about two and a half years; at 5,000 pages a month — a busy admin or billing desk — it is a one-year supply. The rating assumes standard office coverage, so graphics-heavy work shortens the span, but the pack is built for machines that print every day.

Which printers does the pack fit?

Every cartridge in the box serves the Phaser 3500, Phaser 3500B and Phaser 3500DN. One part number across the platform means a single stock box can keep several different machines in the series running.

Should I start with a single cartridge instead?

If this is your first order for a machine you have just acquired, the 106R01149 single at $104.65 is the low-commitment way to confirm the fit. Once you know the cartridge and your volume, the five-pack's per-cartridge saving is the reason most buyers step up to it for the second order.

What protection comes with a pack this size?

Every cartridge is covered by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns, detailed on our shipping and returns page. Coverage runs per cartridge, so the fifth box on the shelf is protected the same way as the first one you install. Questions are answered by our support team Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST.

About This 106R01149 Five-Pack

This is the deep-stock option for the Phaser 3500 platform: five compatible 106R01149 high-yield cartridges, 12,000 rated pages apiece, at about $89.86 per cartridge. It is aimed at printers that cannot afford a toner outage — the shelf stays stocked, the per-page cost sits at its floor of roughly 0.75 cents, and reordering becomes an annual event instead of a recurring chore. Orders leave from whichever of our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California is nearest. The rest of the range for these printers is on our Xerox toner cartridges page.
