Frequently Asked Questions

The first cartridge in our SCX-4725FN emptied surprisingly fast — will this one last longer?

Almost certainly. Machines typically arrive with a starter cartridge whose fill is a fraction of the standard supply, and its short life measures the starter, not the printer. This SCX-D4725A is the full standard cartridge, rated at 3,000 pages. If the starter gave you six weeks of your normal traffic, the same traffic should carry this one well past that mark. Judge the platform by the replacement's life, not the first cartridge's.

Prints from our SCX-4725FN have gone pale down one side — is the cartridge finished?

That one-sided fade is the classic signature of a cartridge running dry: the toner that remains can no longer coat the full width of the page. Rocking the cartridge gently side to side sometimes buys a handful of even pages, but treat that as a bridge to the replacement, not a cure. When a new SCX-D4725A restores full density edge to edge, you have your confirmation — and if it does not, the fault lies in the machine and is worth a support call while the cartridge is under its year's warranty.

What does this cartridge cost per printed page?

At $56.02 for 3,000 rated pages, the figure is about 1.87 cents per page at the standard five-percent coverage the rating assumes. Shaded forms, logos and dense tables push real coverage above that and real cost with it; plain correspondence pulls it below. The per-page view is the fair way to compare this supply against any alternative — headline prices hide yields, and yields are where the money actually goes.

Which models share this cartridge?

The SCX-D4725A code behind this listing also serves the Samsung SCX-4725ELS and SCX-4725F, alongside this listing's own SCX-4725FN. Three badges, one supply. An office standardising on this generation of Samsung all-in-ones can hold a single cartridge type and let any of the machines take it — the stamp on the spent cartridge is the only identifier that matters at reorder time.

How fast does a replacement get here?

We dispatch from four warehouses — IL, PA, GA and CA — and send each order out of the one nearest the delivery address. The practical upshot for an SCX-4725FN that has just flashed its toner warning: order the day the warning appears and the replacement is usually in hand before the old cartridge's last pages fade, especially with a spare already waiting in the cupboard.

What warranty and returns stand behind it?

A full year of warranty cover against defects, and a full year of free returns if a cartridge proves faulty or the order was simply mistaken — the two run side by side from the purchase date. The fine print lives on the shipping and returns page, and the support desk is reachable Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST if you would rather settle a question by talking.

About This SCX-D4725A Cartridge for the SCX-4725FN

The SCX-4725FN's starter cartridge undersells the machine; this full SCX-D4725A supply is the real measure of the platform — 3,000 rated pages for $56.02, near 1.87 cents a page, in a code shared with the SCX-4725ELS and SCX-4725F. Fit it once and the model settles into its proper rhythm of a cartridge a few times a year. Other Samsung machines in the office are covered by the complete Samsung toner cartridge range.
