Frequently Asked Questions
This listing says Premium Quality - does it cost more than the standard five-pack?
No, and the figures are worth stating plainly: this pack is $189.08, exactly the price of the standard ML-D1630A five-pack sold alongside it, which works out to $37.82 per cartridge either way. The Premium Quality name does not change the price, the cartridge code, the 2,000-page rating or the warranty - judge the listing by those checkable numbers rather than by the label, because on every one of them it matches the standard pack.
What exactly is in the box?
Five Samsung ML-D1630A black cartridges, each rated at 2,000 pages - 10,000 pages of supply in total. Each is the combined toner-and-imaging unit these printers use, so every change renews the whole print path with one part.
What is the per-page cost from this pack?
At $37.82 per cartridge and a 2,000-page rating, toner runs to about 1.89 cents per page - the same figure as the standard five-pack, and a clear step below the roughly 2.63 cents a page that the $52.61 single cartridge works out to. Across the box, that is $73.97 saved against five singles.
Which printers do these cartridges fit?
The ML-D1630A is made for the Samsung ML-1630, ML-1630W and SCX-4500. All five cartridges in this pack are that same unit, so the box can feed any one of those machines - or be shared between them.
How should I work through five cartridges?
Oldest first, opening one at a time and keeping the rest sealed, flat and dry in a cupboard away from heat. Reorder when the last cartridge goes in. Stored that way, the final cartridge of the five prints to the same standard as the first, whenever its turn arrives.
Does the Premium Quality name change my warranty or returns?
It changes nothing there either: the pack carries the same one-year warranty as the standard listing and returns stay free for twelve months. Stock ships from our warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, and support keeps Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST hours.
