Frequently Asked Questions
Can we do the full cost-per-page accounting on this 3-pack?
Here it is. The pack is $312.70 and holds three cartridges rated at 22,000 pages each — 66,000 pages in total. Divide one by the other and toner costs about 0.47 cents per page. Against the single-cartridge figure of roughly 0.53 cents, the pack trims close to an eighth off the toner cost of every page your B6500DTN prints.
Where exactly does the $36.98 saving come from?
Three single 52116002 cartridges cost $349.68; this pack costs $312.70. The $36.98 difference is simply the pack discount, earned by ordering three at once — per cartridge you pay about $104.23 instead of $116.56, with no change in the cartridge itself.
What does the pack cost per month at our volume?
At 5,000 pages a month, 66,000 pages lasts a little over thirteen months, so the pack represents roughly $24 a month of toner. At half that volume the same pack stretches beyond two years and the monthly figure drops near $12. The arithmetic is kind because the capacity is large.
Should we rotate the three cartridges in any particular order?
They are identical 52116002 cartridges, so there is nothing to rotate deliberately — install one, keep two sealed as spares, and use them in any order. The only discipline worth keeping is storage: sealed, flat, cool and dry, away from sunlight, until the day each one goes in.
Does one cartridge type really cover our other B6500 variants too?
Yes. The 52116002 serves the B6500, B6500dn and B6500dtn alike. A 3-pack bought for the DTN can rescue any of the others in a pinch, which is a quiet advantage of the family sharing a single high-yield cartridge.
What if a cartridge from the pack fails mid-year?
Each cartridge is covered by a one-year warranty and one-year free returns — see our shipping & returns page — and support is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. A faulty cartridge is dealt with individually; it does not drag the rest of the pack into the conversation.
