Frequently Asked Questions

Our 2400DN is shared over the network — which cartridge keeps it going?

This one: the Q6511A, sold as the 11A. Networking and duplexing are features of the printer's paper and data paths; the toner bay accepts the platform cartridge, and the label on the outgoing unit will say Q6511A to prove it.

What does the order contain?

One black cartridge, sealed, at $45.76. For a shared printer, buying singly keeps things simple — the person who fits it is rarely the person who emptied it, and one-for-one replacement needs no stock ledger.

How quickly will a team get through 6,000 pages?

Shared machines hide their consumption until the fading starts. A small team's everyday printing typically measures a cartridge in months, but month-end report runs can take a visible bite in a single week. The rating assumes standard coverage; bold internal documents count heavier.

Can the swap wait until the queue is empty?

It can, and it can also happen mid-queue — spooled jobs pause politely for the two minutes involved. Top cover, old 11A out, fresh one rocked and unsealed, seated, cover closed. Nothing needs re-sending either way.

The status page says toner remains, yet pages look gray. Trust the page or the paper?

The paper. Gauges are estimates built on averages, and a cartridge at the end of its life often reads optimistic. Even, overall greyness across different users' jobs is the cartridge announcing itself; this listing is the reply.

What warranty and help come with it?

A 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns, and support staffed Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST for the days a shared printer generates more theories than answers.

About This 11A for the LaserJet 2400DN

The 2400DN combines duplexing with a network connection, which usually makes it the hardest-working small printer in the building. Its fuel is unglamorous and standard: a single Q6511A black cartridge rated at 6,000 pages and costing $45.76, common to the whole LaserJet 2420 platform.

We fulfil from IL, PA, GA and CA — the closest stocked site ships — and the shipping & returns page documents delivery times and returns. The broader HP catalogue holds the rest of the platform's consumables.

Owners of LaserJet 2430n, LaserJet 2420, LaserJet 2420d, LaserJet 2420dn, LaserJet 2420n, LaserJet 2430 and LaserJet 2430dtn are all buying this same 11A (Q6511A). These printers are also covered by the high-yield 11X (Q6511X) single cartridge and the standard 11A (Q6511A) single cartridge.
