Frequently Asked Questions

What should I check on my old cartridge before ordering?

Look at the label on the cartridge you pull out. If it reads CE505A — also sold as the HP 05A — this is the same supply in compatible form. Match the stamped code, not the printer's marketing name, and you cannot order the wrong one.

How many pages will one cartridge realistically give me?

It is rated at 2,300 pages at standard 5% coverage, the measurement every toner maker uses. A home office printing letters, invoices and the odd boarding pass usually lands near that figure; dense contracts and full-page graphics pull it down, light text pushes it up.

My prints have gone gray and washed out. Is the toner finished?

Usually, yes. Fading that creeps in evenly across the page is the classic end-of-toner sign on a LaserJet P2035. Take the cartridge out and rock it gently side to side five or six times — that redistributes the remaining powder and often buys a few dozen more pages while the replacement ships.

Is there a separate drum I need to buy with it?

No. On this platform the imaging drum is built into the cartridge itself, so one swap renews both the toner supply and the drum surface. There is nothing else on a maintenance list and no second part to price up.

How long does the swap itself take?

About a minute. Open the top cover, lift the old cartridge out by its handle, remove the sealing tape from the new one, slide it in until it seats, and close the cover. No tools, no settings to change, and the printer is ready as soon as it finishes its short calibration.

What cover do I get if the cartridge disappoints?

Every cartridge we sell carries a 1-year warranty, and returns follow the 1-year free returns terms described on our shipping and returns page. Orders leave from warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia and California, and our support team answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
