PageWide

HP PageWide printers move the paper under a stationary, page-wide printhead — laser speed with ink costs. The models below run on the 972/976 and 990 cartridge families; pick your model to see exactly which cartridges fit it.

Which PageWide family does your printer use?

PageWide Pro 300/400/500-series printers take the HP 972A / 972X / 976Y tiers; the PageWide Pro 700 series and Color 755/774/779 models take the HP 990X. The tiers share slots within a family but are not interchangeable across families — your model page lists the exact cartridges.

PageWide cartridges are pigment-ink tanks rated in the tens of thousands of pages at the top tier, which is what makes the cost per page on these machines undercut comparable colour lasers.
