Frequently Asked Questions

• How many pages does the HP M0K01AN print?

HP rates the M0K01AN at about 20,000 pages under ISO/IEC 24711 test conditions, printing standard pages at around 5% coverage. Your own count will move with coverage, paper and settings — dense colour pages use far more ink than plain text.

• Which printers take the M0K01AN?

It fits PageWide Pro 750dn, PageWide Pro 750dw, PageWide Pro MFP 772dn, PageWide Pro MFP 772dw and 6 more. The complete verified list is in the Compatible Printers section on this page — check your model there before ordering.

• Why is there no 990A standard cartridge here?

The 990X doubles the 990A's yield in the same slot, and the standard tier is not reliably stocked by our supplier — so we carry the X line only. Every printer on this page takes the 990X.

• Is the M0K01AN pigment or dye ink?

It is pigment ink — the same ink technology HP uses in the original M0K01AN — so text stays sharp and resists water and highlighter smear.

• Does this cartridge have a chip?

Yes — a new compatible chip that reports ink levels to the printer, so the low-ink warnings keep working. It is not a refilled original shell with a reset chip.

• My printer shows a warning after installing — what do I do?

Acknowledge the on-screen message, reseat the cartridge until it clicks, and restart the printer. If the warning persists, wipe the gold chip contacts with a dry lint-free cloth and reinstall.

• Can I mix this cartridge with original HP cartridges?

Yes. Each slot is read independently, so a compatible black alongside original colours (or the other way round) prints normally.

• Is this an original HP cartridge?

No. It is a Clever Supplies compatible cartridge built to the M0K01AN specification and covered by our lifetime warranty. It is not manufactured by HP; the HP name appears only to identify the printers it fits.

• Are these the cartridges for PageWide Pro 750/770 MFPs?

Yes — and for the Color 755dn and the Color MFP 774/779 models listed. Managed/Enterprise variants of the same machines that appear on HP's cartridge list are not covered by this listing.

• What if the cartridge leaks, is not recognised or prints badly?

Stop and contact us — do not keep printing on a faulty cartridge. The lifetime warranty covers recognition failures, leaks and print-quality defects: we replace the cartridge or refund you.

• Need the other colours too?

The full set and the other single colours are linked under the family list on this page, so you can match this cartridge with its matching set.

• How should I store a spare cartridge?

Keep it sealed in its bag, upright in the orientation it would sit in the printer, at room temperature. Take it out only when the printer asks for it.
