Frequently Asked Questions
When should the last cartridge in this pack trigger a reorder?
The day it goes into the machine. This 4-pack gives your B5465DN four 6,000-page cartridges — 24,000 pages in total — and the discipline that makes a pack work is simple: the final cartridge is your reorder alarm, not your finishing line. Reorder then, and the printer never bridges a gap on an empty shelf.
What is the per-cartridge price inside the pack?
$93.06, against $106.93 for the same 331-9797 cartridge bought singly. Across the pack that is $372.24 instead of $427.72 — a $55.48 saving for buying ahead, with the per-page cost easing from about 1.78 cents to roughly 1.55 cents in the process.
How far does 24,000 pages go on a floor's shared printer?
A shared B5465DN accumulating 3,000 pages a month gets about eight months from the pack; at 2,000 a month, a year. Those are rating-based translations at standard coverage — a floor printing presentation packs and dense reports will trim them a little, a forms-and-letters floor can beat them.
How do we store a pack that takes months to work through?
Keep the waiting cartridges sealed in their packaging, stored flat in a cool, dry cupboard, and take them in order. Toner is a stable powder; what it dislikes is heat and damp. Stored sensibly, the fourth cartridge prints as cleanly in month eight as the first did in week one.
Is this a Dell-made product?
No — these are compatible cartridges from a third-party manufacturer, built to the specification of Dell's 331-9797. The honest comparison is on numbers: 6,000 pages each, $93.06 a cartridge in this pack, and a year of cover behind every unit.
What support stands behind a pack purchase?
The same as behind a single: a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns covering each cartridge, and support staffed Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Full terms are set out on our shipping & returns page.
