Frequently Asked Questions
Could this 4-pack be a full year of toner for our B5460DN?
For many shared printers, yes. The pack's four cartridges total 24,000 rated pages, so a B5460DN working through about 2,000 pages a month — a healthy shared-printer load — lands at roughly twelve months of cover. Heavier teams at 4,000 a month should plan on six months; lighter ones can see the pack outlast the year comfortably.
What is the per-page cost when we buy this way?
Around 1.55 cents per rated page, against about 1.78 cents buying cartridges singly. The pack price of $372.24 works out to $93.06 per cartridge instead of $106.93, and across four cartridges that difference is worth $55.48. Department printing is not the cheapest printing — the pack simply makes it cheaper than it was.
How do we keep track of toner across a printer the whole office uses?
Note the machine's page counter when each cartridge goes in. The 331-9797 is rated at 6,000 pages, so a counter reading tells you how much of the current cartridge the team has spent and when to expect the next swap — far more reliable than guessing from the calendar on a shared device.
Is the cartridge in this pack the same one listed under part number 331-9797?
The very same. This listing is titled for the B5460DN; the number-first listing is titled for Dell's parts catalogue. One cartridge, one rating, two ways of finding it — the pack here is four of that cartridge.
What if a cartridge fails months before its rating says it should?
It is covered. Every cartridge leaves us with a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns behind it, so an early failure is a replacement conversation, not a write-off. Our support hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
Where will our pack be shipped from?
From one of our four warehouses — IL, PA, GA or CA — whichever serves your address best. Delivery and returns details in full are on our shipping & returns page.
