Frequently Asked Questions
This listing says "Premium Quality" and costs the same $372.24 as the standard 4-pack — what is actually different?
Honestly: nothing we can point to in the numbers. This Premium Quality 4-pack is priced at exactly the same $372.24 as the standard 331-9797 4-pack, holds cartridges with the same 6,000-page rating each, and carries the same warranty. We will not invent a measurable difference to justify a label. Judge both listings by the figures — they are the same figures — and order whichever you prefer.
What does the 4-pack bring the price of one cartridge down to?
$93.06 each. Four cartridges bought singly at $106.93 would total $427.72, so the pack saves $55.48 across the four — $13.87 per cartridge — while landing the same black toner on your shelf.
And what does that do to the cost of a printed page?
It trims the single-cartridge figure of about 1.78 cents to roughly 1.55 cents per rated page. Same honesty as elsewhere in this family: 1.55 cents is a department-class rate, not a giveaway rate, and the saving is a genuine but modest thirteen per cent or so rather than a revolution.
How much printing does 24,000 pages actually cover?
All four cartridges together are rated at 24,000 pages. A department printing 2,000 pages a month is looking at about a year of toner; at 4,000 a month, about six months. Spread across a B5460- or B5465-series machine's working life, that is a long stretch with no toner decisions left to make.
Are these genuine Dell cartridges?
No. They are compatible cartridges, manufactured by a third party to the specification of Dell's 331-9797 rather than by Dell. The commitment attached to them is the stated rating, the pack price and the warranty below — not a brand name on the carton.
What happens if one cartridge out of the four turns out faulty?
It is covered the same as any other: a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns stands behind every cartridge in the pack, and support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Full terms are on our shipping & returns page.
