Frequently Asked Questions

What does the $110.14 price of this Dell 3010 set break down to per cartridge?

The set holds four cartridges — 341-3568 black, 341-3571 cyan, 341-3570 magenta and 341-3569 yellow — so $110.14 works out to $27.54 per cartridge. Each one is rated at 2,000 pages, which puts each cartridge at roughly 1.38 cents per printed page. This is a premium-priced cartridge class for the 3010, and we would rather show you the arithmetic than dress it up: what the set buys is four fresh cartridges at matched capacity in one box, not a bargain-basement cost per page.

Why are all four cartridges in this set rated at the same 2,000 pages?

Unlike many color printers where the black cartridge outlasts the colors, the 3010's cartridge family was designed with even capacities: the 341-3568 black, 341-3571 cyan, 341-3570 magenta and 341-3569 yellow are each rated at 2,000 pages at standard coverage. In practice your black will usually still empty first if most of your output is text, because ratings assume mixed coverage — but on paper no color in this set starts with a head start over the others.

Our 3010 mostly prints black text. Do we still need the full four-color set?

For day-to-day text work, no — the 341-3568 black cartridge is sold on its own, and a text-heavy office can run on black alone for long stretches. The full set makes sense when color output matters again: presentations, letterhead with a color logo, charts. A color laser also needs all four cartridges present and functional to print at all, so if a color cartridge is fully exhausted or flagged empty, the machine may stop even for black-only jobs — that is the moment a complete set earns its shelf space.

Is this an original Dell cartridge set?

No. These are Clever Supplies compatible cartridges built to the 341-3568, 341-3571, 341-3570 and 341-3569 specifications for the Dell 3010 — not Dell-branded originals. They are covered by a one-year warranty and one year of free returns, and you can read the full terms on our shipping & returns page.

How long will a full set last in a small office?

It depends on your monthly volume and how much of it is color. At 250 pages a month of mixed output, a 2,000-page rating per cartridge stretches toward eight months before the first cartridge runs low; at 500 pages a month, roughly four months. Dense color pages — full-page graphics, heavy backgrounds — consume toner far faster than the standard-coverage rating assumes, so graphics-heavy offices should plan on the shorter end.

Where does the set ship from, and how do we reach support?

Orders ship from whichever of our four warehouses — Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California — puts the box closest to you. Support answers Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM Central. More of our Dell range is listed on the Dell toner page.
