Frequently Asked Questions
How much does the 5-pack save against buying cartridges one at a time?
Five single 310-7945 cartridges bought separately would cost $249.60. This 5-pack is $175.63 — a saving of $73.97, which brings the cost per cartridge down from $49.92 to $35.13. Across the pack's 25,000 rated pages, that moves the running cost from about one cent a page to roughly 0.70 cents a page, the cheapest way to feed a Dell 1815 in this catalogue.
What exactly is in the box?
Five identical compatible high yield black toner cartridges, each one a 310-7945 rated at up to 5,000 pages, for the Dell 1815 multifunction printer. There is nothing else to buy alongside them — each cartridge is a complete, ready-to-install unit, and you work through them one at a time as the machine asks.
Who is a 25,000-page supply actually right for?
An 1815 that prints and copies steadily every week. At 500 pages a month the pack covers about four years; at 1,000 pages a month, roughly two years. If your 1815 only handles occasional letters, five cartridges is more stock than the machine's pace justifies — a single cartridge at $49.92 is the proportionate buy, and the saving only counts if the pages actually get printed.
Are these genuine Dell cartridges?
No. Each unit in the pack is a compatible 310-7945 made by a third-party manufacturer to the specification the Dell 1815 works with. The pack price, the per-cartridge figure of $35.13 and the cover below all refer to these compatible cartridges rather than Dell-branded stock.
How should five cartridges be stored?
Keep the unopened four sealed in their bags, flat, in a dry cupboard away from sunlight and radiators. Toner stores well in those conditions, and rotating stock — fitting the cartridge that has been on the shelf longest next — keeps the pack orderly. There is no benefit in opening a cartridge before the machine needs it.
What warranty covers a 5-pack?
Each cartridge carries a 1-year warranty with 1-year free returns, so a faulty unit from the pack comes back to us rather than becoming your expense. Details are on our shipping & returns page, support runs Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and orders ship from our warehouses in IL, PA, GA or CA.
