Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in this set for the M181fw?

All four HP 204A cartridges — CF510A black, CF511A cyan, CF512A yellow and CF513A magenta — in a single box for $73.74. The fw model takes the same toner family as the other 204A machines; its wireless and fax extras live in the printer, not in the cartridges.

Does faxing on the M181fw drain a particular cartridge?

Faxes print in black only, so incoming faxes steadily consume the CF510A while leaving the colors untouched — an office that receives many faxes can empty its black with the color gauges still looking healthy. The Color LaserJet Pro MFP M181fw shows each level separately, and this set restocks all four positions at once.

How many pages are the cartridges rated to print?

Black is rated around 1,100 pages and each color around 900 pages at standard coverage. Wireless printing from phones and laptops tends to add small color jobs — a photo here, a boarding pass there — that nudge the color cartridges down between bigger office runs.

Do copies and scans affect toner use differently?

Copies print, so they use toner exactly like a print job. Scans are captured by the scanner glass and use no toner whatsoever. If levels drop when nobody remembers printing, the copy and fax logs on the M181fw usually explain where the pages went.

Is this a genuine HP set?

No — it is a Clever Supplies compatible set built to the 204A specifications, not an HP product. The cartridges install in the M181fw the same way as originals and cover the same print, copy and fax work.

What coverage and help do I get?

Every cartridge is backed by a 1-year warranty and 1-year free returns. We deliver from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, and support is staffed Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.

About This Set for the Color LaserJet Pro MFP M181fw

Between wireless print jobs, copies and a fax line that quietly spends black toner, the Color LaserJet Pro MFP M181fw draws on its supplies from several directions. This set answers with the complete 204A family in one $73.74 box — black rated near 1,100 pages, each color near 900 — so no single low cartridge stalls the machine. See our shipping and returns page for shipping and returns specifics.

Every model this cartridge serves is on one list: the Color LaserJet Pro MFP M181fw, the Color LaserJet Pro M154a and the Color LaserJet Pro MFP M180n. The rest of the family is listed separately: the CF510A black cartridge, the CF511A cyan cartridge, the CF513A magenta cartridge and the CF512A yellow cartridge.
