Frequently Asked Questions

Why do product photos look subtly wrong weeks before magenta reads low?

Because the drift is real long before the gauge admits it. Magenta fades gradually, and the colours built on it — the red of a label, the warmth in a face, the appetising tones in food photography — slide a little further each week. On a Phaser 7800GX doing colour-critical work, the surest test is an older approved print held beside today's: the difference that memory forgives, paper does not.

Purples are sliding toward blue — which ingredient is missing?

Magenta. Purple is printed from magenta and cyan together; while both are healthy the balance holds, but as magenta thins the cyan takes over and purples cool into blues. Reds heading orange tell the same story from the other side. When both symptoms appear together, this cartridge — 106R01567 — is where the evidence points.

'Toner Cartridges' in the title, one in the box — why?

The title follows the series naming for the 7800 line; the box follows this listing. What you receive is a single high-yield magenta cartridge at $88.49, rated at 17,200 pages — no multi-pack, no bundle, and the price on the page is the price of that one cartridge.

Is 17,200 pages a promise or a measurement?

A measurement — taken at the light, standard coverage the industry rates cartridges by. A GX earning its living on full-page photography spends magenta far faster than the test page does, while a GX used for occasional colour handouts may come close to the figure. Reading it as a benchmark rather than a guarantee keeps expectations, and reorder timing, honest.

Does the GX graphics build take a magenta of its own?

No. The GX badge describes the machine's graphics configuration, not a special supply: every Phaser 7800 variant loads the same high-yield magenta, and 106R01567 is it. One cartridge serves the whole family, whichever suffix the door carries.

What guarantee and returns apply to this cartridge?

It is guaranteed for one year, and returns stay free for a year from purchase; our shipping and returns page carries the full wording. We send stock from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, with help available Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST, and the machine's full range is collected on the Xerox toner page.
