Frequently Asked Questions

Almost no listing names the YDN. Where does its yellow actually come from?

From the family standard. The YDN is a configuration of the 7760, not a separate platform, and its yellow is the same 106R01162 the base Phaser 7760 runs on. The badge is rare; the cartridge is anything but, which is the most convenient combination a supply cupboard can ask for.

The title reads "Cartridges," plural. Is more than one on its way?

No — one cartridge is what this listing sells, and the plural is simply how the catalog names it. Inside the box is a single 106R01162 yellow rated at up to 25,000 pages, priced at $134.58.

A 25,000-page cartridge lasts us a long while. How should we hold spares?

One shelved spare is the right posture. The replacement cycle on this family is measured in months or longer, so the real risk is not frequency but forgetfulness — the warning arrives, gets acknowledged, and is buried. A spare already in the building turns that warning into a two-minute swap whenever the colour finally tires.

Will a cartridge stored that long still print properly?

Yes. Toner is a sealed dry powder, not a liquid; there is nothing in the cartridge to dry out or settle into uselessness. Kept boxed in a cool, dry cupboard, a spare waits patiently through the long life of the cartridge ahead of it.

How do I verify by number instead of trusting the badge?

Read the label of the yellow cartridge currently in the machine: it carries 106R01162. That number, not the badge on the printer's front panel, is the definitive check — it holds for every variant in the family, common or rare.

What guarantee covers the purchase?

A one-year warranty and free returns for a full year, with support available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Scarce model, standard protection.
