Frequently Asked Questions

This DN serves the whole office. Who notices when its yellow starts to go?

Honestly, nobody — at first. Yellow fade is the quietest failure in colour printing: internal pages keep looking acceptable while the warmth drains out of the output. It usually surfaces on something outsiders see, a proposal or a presentation whose colours have gone cold. A shared machine needs a deliberate check now and then precisely because no single user owns the problem.

When should the spare be ordered for a shared machine?

At the first low-toner notice, not at empty. With a cartridge rated at up to 25,000 pages, warnings are rare events separated by months — easy to acknowledge and forget. The gap between the warning and genuinely tired output is the ordering window; using it keeps the office from ever printing around a dead colour.

The name says "Cartridges" — how many does the office receive?

One cartridge per listing. The plural is catalog habit, not a count: a single 106R01162 yellow rated at up to 25,000 pages, $134.58. Facilities that keep a shelf spare simply order the listing twice.

"DN" means duplex and network. Does either feature change the cartridge?

Neither does. Duplexing and networking are machine features; the toner bay underneath them is the family standard. The Phaser 7760DN takes the same 106R01162 yellow as the base Phaser 7760, so feature badges never complicate a supply order.

How do we budget this machine's yellow cost?

Simply: $134.58 across a rating of up to 25,000 pages is roughly 0.54 cents per page at the standard 5 percent coverage measure. Colour-heavy departments will spend it faster than the rating implies, but as a budgeting line it is one predictable, infrequent figure rather than a drip of small purchases.

What backs the purchase?

A one-year warranty and free returns for a full year, with support staffed Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST. Orders ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, which keeps a restock close to most offices.
