Frequently Asked Questions

Our DX runs colour all day. What does a 25,000-page yellow buy a shop like ours?

Continuity. A cartridge rated at up to 25,000 pages stretches the interval between swaps across a great deal of production, so the machine stops asking for attention in the middle of jobs. On a high-throughput configuration like the Phaser 7760DX, long supply cycles are worth as much as the toner itself.

What is the honest cost of a colour page from this cartridge?

At the rating, $134.58 spread over 25,000 pages is about 0.54 cents per page. The honest part: the rating assumes 5 percent coverage, and production colour covers more, so your true figure will be higher — but it scales predictably, and the cartridge's size keeps it the cheapest way to feed this machine its yellow.

"Cartridges" in the name — is this a multi-pack?

No. Despite the plural in the catalog title, this listing is one cartridge: a single 106R01162 yellow, rated at up to 25,000 pages, at $134.58. Shops that want a spare on the shelf order a second listing rather than expecting one to arrive hidden in this box.

Yellow empties in the middle of a deadline run. What happens then?

Colour work stops being colour-accurate the moment a primary runs dry, and full-colour jobs effectively stall. That is why production machines are run with a spare already shelved: the swap itself takes minutes per cartridge, each colour changing independently, so the only real delay is the one caused by not having the cartridge in the building.

Our fleet also includes the base model. Does it take the same yellow?

Yes — the base Phaser 7760 and the Phaser 7760DN share this exact cartridge with your DX. One yellow part number covers the fleet, which simplifies stocking more than any discount could.

How fast can a replacement reach us, and what backs it?

Orders ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, so a restock is a short haul to most of the country. The cartridge carries a one-year warranty with free returns for a full year, and support is staffed Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
