Frequently Asked Questions

On a shared network 7760DN, who notices the magenta going first?

Usually whoever prints the first color-heavy job after it dips — a report cover comes back with washed-out reds while everyone else's text pages still look fine. Magenta decline is gradual, and on a department machine no single user owns the problem, so the practical habit is a shelf spare: this 106R01161, ready before anyone has to raise a ticket.

How many pages does one cartridge give a department?

The 106R01161 is rated at up to 25,000 pages. Shared machines accumulate pages quickly, but at that rating a single magenta still typically covers a long stretch of departmental printing between changes — long enough that ordering one at a time stays a sane policy.

What is in this listing, exactly?

A single magenta cartridge for $70.76. The product name uses the plural "Cartridges," but the quantity here is one — one box, one 106R01161, one magenta slot filled. If your office policy is a working spare as well, that means ordering two of this listing.

Which machines does it serve beyond the DN?

The cartridge is common to the whole family: the Phaser 7760, the Phaser 7760DN named here and the Phaser 7760DX, plus the GX, YDN, YDX and YGX configurations. An office running mixed 7760 variants stocks one magenta for all of them.

What does the department pay per page for magenta?

About 0.28 cents — $70.76 across a rated 25,000 pages. At that level the magenta line in a departmental cost-per-page report is close to negligible, which is part of why these networked 7760s stay economical long after purchase.

What cover does the office get with it?

A 1-year warranty and a full year of free returns under the policy on our shipping & returns page. We deliver from IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, our support team works Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and companion supplies are grouped on the Xerox supplies page.
