Frequently Asked Questions

What does the /N on my printer change — and does it change the toner?

The /N marks the networked version of the Phaser 6128MFP: same machine, shared over the office network instead of tied to one computer. The toner does not change at all. This cartridge — Xerox 106R01455, black, up to 3,100 pages — fits the 6128MFP/N exactly as it fits the standard model.

On a shared printer, how does the black disappear so fast?

Because everybody's text lands on the same cartridge. One person's printouts are modest, but a whole team's letters, labels and reports add up quietly, and nobody feels personally responsible for the level. A shared 6128MFP/N can work through a black cartridge several times faster than the same machine on a single desk.

This title says "Cartridges" — how many am I actually getting?

One cartridge. The plural in the listing name is just wording; the box holds a single compatible 106R01455 black cartridge for $38.26. If the shared-printer math above sounds familiar, the 2, 3 and 5 pack listings of this cartridge exist precisely so a spare is sitting next to the machine.

Who should keep an eye on the level of a networked machine?

Whoever sits nearest, ideally with one named owner. The practical routine: when text starts printing grey instead of black, that is the reorder moment — and on a shared machine it pays to order the same day, because the queue of people waiting on the printer is longer than one. Keeping one spare beside a networked Phaser 6128MFP removes the scramble entirely.

What does this single cost per page?

At its 3,100-page rating, $38.26 comes to about 1.23 cents per page. On a busy shared machine that rating arrives sooner in calendar terms, but the per-page figure is the same — and it drops if the office moves up to the multipacks of this same cartridge.

What cover comes with the cartridge?

A one-year warranty and free returns for a year; the terms are spelled out on the shipping and returns page. We ship from IL, PA, GA and CA warehouses, and support is staffed Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST. More for this platform is collected on the Xerox toner page.

About This 6128MFP/N Cartridge

One compatible black cartridge for the networked Phaser 6128MFP/N (and the standard 6128MFP): Xerox 106R01455, rated up to 3,100 pages, $38.26 — about 1.23 cents a page. The /N changes how the printer connects, never what it drinks; this is the single, sold one at a time.
