Frequently Asked Questions
On a shared office printer, who is supposed to notice the toner is low?
In practice, nobody — and that is exactly the problem this 2 pack solves. On a shared Versalink C605, everyone assumes someone else saw the warning, right up until the cartridge is empty and the queue is full. Keeping a second 106R03899 in the cupboard means whoever hits the empty warning can fix it on the spot instead of starting a purchasing process. This listing is the pair, at $78.43.
What is the per-cartridge and per-page cost?
The pair works out to $39.22 per cartridge. Each 106R03899 covers 6,000 rated pages, so the two together hold 12,000 pages of black — about 0.65 cents per page across the pack. For a workgroup printer, that is a substantial buffer of printing bought in one order.
How long does the swap take when the warning turns into empty pages?
A couple of minutes. Open the front, slide the spent 106R03899 out, slide the fresh one in, and the queue drains. No tools, no engineer, no waiting on a delivery — the whole value of the spare is that it is already in the building when it is needed.
Where should the second cartridge live?
Near the printer, ideally — a cupboard in the same room beats a storeroom three floors away when someone is standing at an empty machine. Keep it sealed, flat, and away from heat and direct sun, and make sure the team knows it is there; a spare nobody can find is not a spare.
Our C605 is lightly used. Is a 2 pack still sensible?
Honestly, it depends on your volume. A lightly used machine may take a year or more to finish one 6,000-page cartridge, and the single is sold on its own listing for exactly that desk. The pair earns its keep where the printer is shared and busy, and where an empty black cartridge stops several people's work at once.
What cover and shipping come with this 2 pack?
Each cartridge is warranted for a year, and returns stay free for the same twelve months — the fine print lives on our shipping and returns page. Parcels leave from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA; a person is reachable Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM CST; and the same black also fits the Versalink C600, with everything else on the Xerox toner page.
About This C605 Black 2 Pack
Built for the shared-printer reality that nobody owns the low-toner warning. The box holds two compatible 106R03899 black cartridges with 12,000 pages of printing between them; the pair is $78.43, which prices each cartridge at $39.22 and each page at roughly 0.65 cents. One goes in the machine, one waits in the cupboard, and both are backed for a year with returns free throughout.
