Frequently Asked Questions

I shop by printer name, not part number — is this the same pair?

Yes. This listing is the model-name route to the identical product: two black cartridges carrying the part number 106R02605, made for the Phaser 7100 and its 7100N and 7100DN variants. Whether you found it by searching the printer on your desk or the number on your spent cartridge, the box that arrives is the same 2 pack at the same $114.90.

How does having two cartridges in the machine change a toner-out moment?

It softens it. On a single-cartridge printer, an empty cartridge stops the queue outright. With a pair loaded in the 7100, the work is spread across both, and when one finally gives out the printer's warning arrives while there is still toner in the machine. You order, you keep printing, and the swap happens when the new cartridge lands — not under deadline pressure with a queue of people waiting.

What is the sensible replacement rhythm for a pair?

Replace one at a time, as each cartridge is spent, rather than changing both on the same day. That keeps the two cartridges at different ages, so they never run dry together, and it spreads your spending across the year instead of bunching it. Keeping one fresh cartridge in reserve — either in the machine's second position or sealed on the shelf — makes the rhythm self-sustaining.

What does the pair cost a typical office per month?

Each cartridge is rated at up to 5,000 pages and the pack brings the per-cartridge price down to $57.45, about 1.15 cents of black toner per page. An office printing 800 black pages a month spends roughly $9 a month on black toner at that rate and reloads the machine about twice a year; double the volume and the reloads double, but the per-page figure stays put.

Who should pick this pack over buying singles?

Anyone who has ever stood at a silent printer with a deadline on screen. If your 7100 serves a team, takes long document runs, or sits somewhere the delivery driver reaches slowly, the pair removes the gap between "toner low" and "toner gone". Light, occasional printing is the only case where a single cartridge at a time makes more sense.

What warranty and returns cover comes with it?

The pack is covered by a 1-year warranty and free returns for a full year, spelled out on our shipping and returns page. We ship from warehouses in IL, PA, GA and CA, answer support questions Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST, and keep the rest of this printer's supplies together on our Xerox toner page.
