Frequently Asked Questions

Who is a 5-pack actually for?

The busy end of the scale: a department whose Phaser 6300 prints all day, or a site running more than one of these machines off a single supply shelf. Five cartridges on hand means purchasing happens a few times a year at most, and facilities never fields the "we're out of black" call that stops a workgroup.

What does each cartridge cost in a set of five?

The set runs $227.13 — $45.43 per cartridge against $60.21 bought singly, saving $73.92 across the five. With each cartridge rated at up to 8,000 pages, the box carries up to 40,000 pages of black in total, putting the cost at roughly 0.57 cents per rated page.

Forty thousand pages — how much paper is that, really?

Eighty reams. Picturing it as a stack helps calibrate the purchase: if your office goes through a ream a week, the set is most of a year of black; at a ream a day, it is a busy quarter. Either way, matching the pack to your paper consumption is the honest way to judge whether five is your number.

Will the last cartridge still perform after that long in storage?

Stored sealed, flat, cool and dry, yes — toner cartridges keep for a long time without the powder degrading. Work through the set oldest-first so no box becomes a permanent resident of the cupboard, and rock each cartridge gently side to side before fitting it to even out contents that have rested.

Do all five boxes serve both machines on our floor?

They do. Every cartridge in the set is the same compatible black, 106R01085, and it feeds both the standard printer and the Phaser 6300DN. One shelf, one part number, no sorting out which spare belongs to which machine when a swap is needed in a hurry.

What stands behind a purchase this size?

Each cartridge is covered by a 1-year warranty with free returns for a full year; the terms live on our shipping and returns page. Shipments originate from warehouses in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Georgia or California, and the support team answers Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
